IN THE CHURCHES.

To-morrow (AVliit-Sunday) Methodist services will he conducted by Rev. A. C. Lawry at Kensington 11, Kingsdown 3.0, and Bank Street, 6.30, (subject: “Holy Breath and Heavenly Fire’’). Mr Brown will preach at Bank Street in tlio morning, Mr Vogeier, at Waimataitai, and Mr Chiles at Upper Pareora; Rev 11. J. Odell will officiate at Woodland Street, 11.0, and Waimataitai 6.30, and at Fail-view Sunday School, 2.3 U Mr Steele will preach at Woodlands Street in the evening. Rev. A. Blakemore will conduct services at Lower Pareora at 11.0, and Kensington 6.30. Celebrations of the Holy Commun-ion-will be held at St. Mary’s Church, to-morrow (Whit Sunday), at 7 and 8, at St. John’s at 8, and at St. Peter’s, at 9.30. The morning service at the Baptist Church will be conducted by Mr W. J. Parsons. There will bo a dedication at noon. The Rev. H. G. Goring will preach on “The Pen-Knifed Word,” in the evening, and there will be a Bible Class at homo afterwards. All are welcome. The Itcv. T. Wilson Potts will conduct services at 11 a.nr. and 6.30 p.m., at the Congregational Church, North Street, to-morrow. On Tuesday at the meeting of the Y.P.C.A. Mr J. F. Arnold will give an address. The preacher in the Unitarian Hall will be Rev. AV. Jellie, B.A. The subject of his address is George Fox, the founder of Quakerism, the centenary of whose birtli will be celebrated by Quakers all over the world next month. Anglican services at Temuka, Winchester, Maori Pa and AVaitohi are advertised in this issue. The services in Chalmers Church will be conducted by the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes. The subjects of the addresses will bo “Christian Joy” and “On Following the Gleam.” A sale of work in aid of missions will be held on Thursday and Friday next. Tlio services in Trinity Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. D. Dutton, of Dunedin. Tho quarterly communion will bo celebrated during the morning service.
