Morton and Pearson report for last week as follows :—■

Good business was done with furniture, and very satisfactory prices were realised for all lots sold. All classes of produce mot with a sound demand. Fruit was steadily inquired lor, and some heavy- consignments were placed. Business with property was better, a number of sales being negotiated during the week. Prices realised last week were: Apples.—Choice Delicious 10s Gd to J2s (id, Jonathans 8s Gd to 10s Gd, Stunners 10s Gd, Pearmains 9s Gd, Statesman 9s Gd, Wolseys 8s Gd, Ballarats -7s Gd to Ss Gd. Small and inferior grades 4s to 7s Gd ease; Dessert pears 4s to Gs, cooking pears 4s to 7s Gd; hothouse tomatoes 7d to lOd lb; Island oranges (repacks) to lGs; Fiji bananas 255, Frisco oranges 355, Frisco lemons 34s to 38s, passions 265; pie melons 2d lb. Flowers.—Heathcote violets. 3s to 4s dozen.

Vegetables—Cabbage 5s to 8s dozen, marrows Ms sack, pumpkins 14s sack, leeks 9s dozen.

Produce—Table potatoes, best white 12s, reds 10s, wheat 225. seconds 18s, oats 265, bran 9s Gd, pollard 16s, oat sheaf chaff Bs, oat straw 4s, swede turnips 7s to Bs. small bags 4s to ss, parsnips 10s to 12s, carrots Ss to 12s. onions lGs, artichokes 2|d; honey, hulk 6d lb.

Poultry.—Roosters 3 s to 4s Gd pair, hens from 2s 6d to 4s Gd pair, geese from 4s pair; ducks (light) from 2s 6d pair.
