EXHIBITION DISPUTE.
HON. W. D. STEWART DIPLOMATIC.
By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Speaking at a meeting of the Canteibury Industrial Association to-day the Hon IV. Downio Stewart stated turn ho did not wish to be _ drawn into tim dispute between Dunedin and the other centres with regard to the exhibition, and explained that as yet lie had not heard the Dunedin people’s views on the subject. He understood, however, that llie question of whether the exhibition. was to be international or Imperial, was'still open, and at present this point bad not been decided. Ho said, however, that he did not wish a report to go out that he had acquiesced in the Canterbury Association s views before ho had heard those of the Dunedin people.
