AIETHODIST LADIES’ GUILD
The monthly meeting of the Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held on AVednesday afternoon at tho home of Airs E. Blaekmore, St. Leonards. There were present: Alesdames Bell (president), Cooper, Duncan, Buck, Cross, Foote, Abbey, Swop, Blackmoro, and J. Brown, a visitor. Apologies for absence were received from Airs Booth and Aliss Brown.
After the reading of the minutes, the president reported that the proceeds from the recent cob-web social had totalled over £B. The date of the annual garden party was fixed for November 29, Air E. Brown olfering his beautiful grounds for the occasion. Some details were arranged, but full consideration was left over for next meeting. It was decided to hold another saleday lunch, next month, and a special meeting is to be held to complete preparations;. A credit balance of £7 was reported.
Airs Blaekmore provided afternoon tea, for which she was heartily thank-, ed. The meeting for, October, which "'ill he the annual meeting, at the invitation of Airs A. E. Foote, is to bo held in her home.
