HOOK

A very successful fancy dress and hard-up dance was held in the Hook Alemorial Hall on Friday last. The floor was in good order and comfortably filled. The it; were about 70 couples present. The fancy costumes made a very pleasing display, whilst those in hard-up costume were the cause of a great deal of merriment. The following were tho prize-winners—Best lady Aliss R. Lynch (AA’asp), best gentleman Air J. Aledlioot (Red Indian), best hard-up Mr C. Rose (Alademoisello La Sack). Excellent music for the dancing was supplied by Aliss Cochrane and Mr J. Reynolds, extras being played by Mrs Simmons and Aliss Parks.
