DRUG FIENDS.
In West End Flat. A CASE IN LONDON. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT (Received 8 p.m., June 2. London, June 1. George Johnston (43), Julian Hinder (31), and Marjorie Hatton (29), are the central figures, in-a West End drug scene-, interrupted by the police. They are charged with, unauthorised possession of morphia. All have independent means and looked very weak and colourless. The prosecuting counsel said: “You will see that the defendants are clearly saturated with, drugs. It is a hopeless state of moral physical decay.” He described the surprise visit to their Hat. The woman was sitting at a table near an open window and appeared ill. A detective found a partly filled syringe in her hand also a tube of morphine tablets. Hinder declared he was responsible for procuring the drug. Defendants were remanded.
