The attendance was good and bidding brisk throughout the sale, when most of the yarding changed hands at the following prices : Draughts. £2O ICE. £24. £26 10s, £27, £3O, £32, £33 10s to £35. Harness horses, £5 10s, 2 at £6 to £lO 10s. Turn-out £35, Harness and sundries sold well. BUTTER AND CHEESE. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Tirnaru have received cable advice from their London office dated May 31—Butter : Rather more inquiry—Australian 138 s; New Zealand 1425; Danish 150 s; g.a.q. 8s less. The. purchase includes 0.000,000 gallons of matured Scotch Whisky, offices and warehouses of the most modern .tvpe, and five of the premier Highland Malt Distilleries, viz., Parkmore, Dufftown, Ord, Glenoran and Pultency, 9csides joint interests in several other distilleries all situated in the Highlands of Scotland. This is hut another step in the tarsighted policy of the directors of these two irreat companies aiming at securing the finest selection of Scotch Whiskies for their gigantic world trade.
