D. Campbell, who carried the banner of Reform. At the elections of 1911, 1914 and 1919, Mr Craigie experienced no difficulty in retaining tho seat. Just prior to the General Election of last year Air Craigie announced that he would not be a candidate for re-election. Mr Craigie is regarded as the leading authority in Now Zealand on Robert Burns, whilst, his knowledge of ihn works of other great poets, notably Shakespeare, is not less profound.
