A packed and enthusiastic meeting was held here to-night, when an eloquent address was delivered by Profn»sor Pringle, Otago University, who read the following cable from Lord Robert Cecil: “The support of wort 1 public opinion is tlie League’s greatest need. I welcome the formation of a New Zealand League of Nations Union.”
At tlie close of an eloquent and powerfully convincing address, tile meeting ‘heartily agreed to form a 'Oranehl of the League, of Nations Union, and to set un a strong representative committee to give effect to the resolution.
