BOWLING COUNCIL. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. IS. The election of the Council of the Dominion Bowling Association has just been completed as follows:—President, T. Bush (Wellington); vice--president, W. Nicolson (Dunedin); treasurer, A. E. Fowler (Wellington): council—G. Baildon, A. M. Brydeii (Auckland); A. K. Smart (New Plymouth), J. A. Nash, M.P. (Palmerston North), ¥.. Meadowcroft, T. Gray (Wellington), A. S. Bruce M. E. Barnett, A. Dickson (Christchnrch), J. J. Marlow, H. F. M. Mercer (Dunedin), J. Day (Gore). The new Council will hold its first meeting in September in Wellington, where the Association will have its headquarters during the next year. HOCKEY. The ladies' hockey match Olngo v. Southland, played at Invercargill yesterday, resulted in a draw, two goals each. The men's match was won by Otago by four goals to two.
