REARRANGED ARMY COMMANDS

LONDON, March 30.
The Press Bureau announces that General Rawlinson has been appointed to the Aldershot command, and General Hirne to the Eastern Command. Mr Churchill offered Sir Tan Hamilton the Northern Command, intimating that General Wilson 'conewsed. General Robertson, Chief of Imperial General Staff, holds that there was nothing in General Hamilton's command of the Allied forces at Gallipoli which ought to preclude him from re-employ-ment. General Hamilton declined,, 'on the ground that younger men should be given a chance. General Byng declined the Southern Command for a similar reason . •

Including 806 millions sterling advanced by America, Britain's war debt is 6065 millions. It is estimated that the total national debt is now 7000 millions.
