The Germans rejected a demand for the landing of General Haller's troops at Dantzig and put forward an alternative that they might land at Stettin, Memel, Libau, or : Konigsberg. It js reported that the Council of Four accepted Marshal Focft's advice to serve a sharp notice on the German-Government. The latter;:coiisnlted all political parties at Weimar, who indicated that they were resolved, whatever the consequences, to oppose a landing at Dantzig.

The "Daily Express's" Berlin correspondent w states IhatJ the' American Mission, in Germany consists of 250 officers and men, and easily outnumbers other Entente Missions. It provides excellent American ■ propaganda. A second American Mission, of eighteen bankers, now en route, will inquire,regarding raw materials. A third Mission, of 125 doctors and eighteen dentists, has been sent for. America is by far the most prominent foreign nation in Germany. Germans are outwardly less bitter against Americans than against French or British, and probably are-hoping to obtain American raw materials. .

Hesrr Noske in a sjjeech at Weimar said: "Germany desired friendJy relations with Russia, but she»insisted that Germany should become Bolshevik. This we refuse."
