THE HIALTO. ' H. Aiiehurch and Co. report for the' veek ending 17th inst. as follows: Business m all lines has been brisk. Poultry.—Gn Saturday we had a> Aood entry and a good demand. Hens brought 3s 6d to 7s 3d, pullets & to 6s, cockerels 4s 3d to 7s 3d, roosters 3s to 6s, ducks 7s. all at per pair; breeding roosters to 9s 6d each, drakes 6s each. -Pigs.—A good entry, 31 being penned. "Wcaners brought from 305,stores 30s to 395, porkers £2 Bs, £3 Is, £3 2s.
Calves brought 15s to 18s, a cow £B. Produce.—Oatensheaf 4s 9d in 10 sack lots, os single sacks, "wheat 17s fa 225, potatoes 14s 6d to 17s 6d, seed do Us to 14s Cd, turnips 3s to 4s, oarrots 4s 6d to 5s 6d, parsnips 3s to ss, cauliflower ss. Fruit. —Apples, dessert 10s to lis 6d. Household furniture and effects.—> We had a very large entry. Prices were good, and a large quantity -was disposed of. Properties.—Vc offered by auction on the 10th a town property on account of Mr K. M- Thomas, which, was passed in at auction, but a sale was made during the week.
