League to-night passed the following resolution—"That this branch strongly disapproves of the Government's proposal to call up lads of nineteen for active service." NEXT SEASON'S "WOOL. PRIVATE DEALING FORBIDDEN. A Proclamation published in a Gazette Extraordinary prohibits private dealing in the coming season's wool 'lip. except in such cases as the Controller for the Imperial Government Supplies Department has given his precedent consent in writing, on being satisfied that the wool in question is not- required for the use or His Majesty.
