OTAIO LADIES' GUILD

CONCERT AND PRESENTATION. The Otaio Ladies' Guild held a very successful patriotic concert and dance in Mr F. Martin's granary (kindh lent for the occasion). The following contributed songs:—Mrs Foxon, Mesdames Riley and Foxon, Master 11. Paimer and Messrs McGregor, Peurnu, Ireland and Palmer. Misses Adam ami O'Oallaghan contributed piano solos in their usual finished style. Mr Parks (St. Andrews), suitably* accompanied the various items on the piano. A pictorial Roll of Honour was then submitted to auction when bids were received as follows:—Messrs J. Paterson, J. J. Hall, J. Maclean, £2 each: Miss Mcllwrick £1 Is, Messrs R. MeIlwrick, H. Paterson, A. Martin and Mrs Forrest £1 each : Mrs Lemon, Miss Brown, Messrs J. Sullivan. AY. Dwyr-r. G. Shea, W. Shea. J. Qu'n'n, p. Chi'lds V. Moehan, MaeGrcgor, R. Brunton' -T- Johnson. Otaio Nuts. 10s oach. Mrs IT. B. Johnstone was the final purchaser at £lO 10s. and she presented it to be hung m the school. After refreshments had been handed ronnd, the room was cleared for dtmeing and a most enjoyable time was spent under the charge of Mr A Hoskin as M.C. and Miss Adam, musician During the evening Mr J. Pat-orson, as chairman of the Otaio Patriotic Society, presented Private M. Sullivan and Trooper C. Hcskin. who are on final leave, with a wristlet »; a tch each, with be=t wishes from the settlers of the distr.ct.
