August ?. j Mr Craigie to-day moved for a return showing—(l) A list of civil servants in the Dominion who have, whilst still performing their du'ties as civil servants, been given military titles, and tho extra remuneration, if any, paid 'them. (2) A list of commissioned military officers' in the Defence Depart- j nient. (a) in New Zealand (b) abroad. (3) The total amount paid as salaries to commissioned officers (a) in New Zealand (b) abroad. (41 Wlie totaJi amounts paid to soldiers not holding commissions. (5) A nominal list of doctors under the Defence Department (a) in New Zealand (b) abroad, with dates of their enlistment or appointment to their office.
