REINFORCEMENTS FROM KIEL. COPENHAGEN, Aug. 25. Six thousand marines from Kiel have arrived on the east front for pioneer service. GERMAN OFFICIAL NEWS. ENEMY STILL ADVANCING. AMSTERDAM, August 25. A German communique states:— Genera! Hindenburg was successful iu the fighting at Birshi, thirty-seven miles north-eastward of Poniewiec. General van E'chhorn is victoriously advancing eastwards and lias taken ISof) prisoners. General von Scholtz lias captured Knnszyn ami crossed the Narew southward of Tykocin. General Gallwitz has forced the crossing of tho Narew on the SokobyBialystok road and taken prisoner 4500 men. Prince Leopold is eastward of Wiercliowicze and has taken prisoner 1600 men. General Mackensen has reached the height on the west hank of the Lisna northward of Brest Litovsk, and the Austro-Gcrmans have pierced an advanced position near Dobrynka, southwest of Brest Litovsk and Lensingen, on the oast bank of the Bug,"and amid heavy fighting are advancing northwards.
