Last evening there were a good number of enthusiasts present to witness the final of the Elementary Fours, when Campbell's crew met that stroked by Moore. The sea was lively, with a north-easterly wind, and this made the racing easier than the previous evening. The crews got away with very little separating them, and at the harbour mouth the positions were much the same. Moore's crew here drew slightly ahead, and held a quarter of a length on Campbell at the wharf. Campbell put in a game sprint, and just managed to push his boat aliGad of his opponent's, and win by the narrowest of margins. The winning crew were—Campbell (stroke), Southerwood (3), Hay (2), Rhodes (bow).
