ANOTHER CRUISER AND LINER COLLISION. Presß Association—By Tel.—CoDyricht NEW YORK, Jan. 2G. The cruiser Colorado and the America!! liner Cleveland collided at Honolulu. The Clovel;Lnd was considerably damaged. The collision was due to the pilot in charge of the Cleveland dropping dead on the bridge. ACCIDENTALLY ELECTROCUTED. SYDNEY, Jan. 2<i. Another man, named Wood, has b=en electrocuted at Pyrinont. He v.-as standing on a damp floor, when he handled a live electric lamp. He screamed - and fell dead. Apparently a short circuit was established through his body. BATHER MANGLED BY SHARE. A youth named Morgan, while bathing in Lane Cove river, was seized by a shark. Two companions beat the monster off. Morgan was fearfully mangled, and died shortly after. INSECURE MINING. Per Press Association. WESTPORT, Jan. 26. The stone roof of the Westport Coal Company's cascade mine fell tor a distance of 20 yards, blocking the outlet. Richard Baker, who was two or three yards away from the beginning of the fall, saw it coming and leaped into a place of safety, but was surrounded by a great mass of rock. Seven other men were also shut in, but away from the immediate cause of danger.' Rescue parties got to work vigorously, and managed, after two and a-half hours' strenuous labour, to release the imprisoned men. None of them were injured An accident happened to Mr H. Archer at the sports held on the Caledonian Grounds last evening by the rnilway bands. He was riding in n b'cycle rare and fell, with the result that he sustained some lather Fcvere bruises and was considerably tut about.
