TECHNICAL CLASSES.

WAIMATE. The managers of the Waimate Technical Classes Association met on Thurs- ; day night. Present—Messrs G. Dash, AYalker, Sanders, Grant, Nieliol and Cochrane, and the Director, —Air G. Pitea.thly. Messrs Hassall and Beckett sent- apologies. Sir George .Dash was elected chairman for the year. - The Director reported certain cluing•as in the regulations, from which it appeared that places over 20 miles away irom an Education. Board centre were formerly gettiug an extra capitation, which-under the amended regulations is hot granted. After d.scussion it was decided to form wool-classing and veterinary classes, and a domestic course in homenursing, sickroom cookery and domestic hygiene; and classes in milLnery dressmaking, accountancy and are to be arranged if possible. ° It w as decided to advertise for teachers tor the above-mentioned classes. Mr W. H. iieckett was re-elect id secretary on the same conditions as last year and the chairman and secrerin were . authorised to sign cheques.
