At the station the staff consists of stationmaster, either one or two clerks in the • office, and two porters. Now w lia« .s to hinder one of the staff, when any or the express trains specially, or even slow trains from the south is approaching, going to the crossing with a danger flag, and so keepjjig people from crossing It it nt leqjuired for the trains from north, as any one crossing can seo far up the line.
