SHOOTING
TEVIARU PORT GUARDS. The Timaru Port Guards fired a match last evening at 200 yards for trophies presented by Mr Jas. Crvtrie and Mr J. H. Rodgers. The follow ng are some of the highest scores: LanjoCorpl. Millin 49 (11 50, Pvte. .}. 3 Moore 49 (ser) 49,'Pvte A. Hill '8 (ser) 48, Sergt. O'Leary 45 (3) <'S, Lance-Corpl. Toneycliffe 44 (31 ',l, Pvte. Glue 43 (4) 47, Pvte. E. T. Vi 11 40 (7) 47, Sergt. Dunnill 46 (ser) 46, Sergt. Moore 46 (ser) 46, Pvte. Bnrford 46 (ser) 46, Pvte. Kiernan 43 (3; 46, Pvte. Simpson 41 (5) 46. The above corps will fire tin's cv< n ing at 600 yards, and class-firing will take place at 200 and 500 yards. The South Canterbury Mounted Rifles will' shoot for trophies at 300 and 500 yards to-morrow and Saturday evenings.
