FRENCH STEAMER WRECKED. Press Association —By Tel. —Copyright, ALGIERS, Jan. 2. Wreckage of the French steamer Norma has been discovered. Fifteen persons are missiilg. Denis Cronin, a cripple, was knocked down by a tramcar in Manners street, WedKngbon, last evening, and had his skull fractured. He was taken to the hospital; unconscious. James Campbell, aged 52 years, a. Bushman, of Clifton, Southland, was killed by being thrown from his horse on Sunday evening. He leaves a widow and eleven children. A boy named! John Perkins, under 4 years of age, was fatally.crushed bv a log rolling on him at Catlins on Monday. -<. Rebecca Irvine, third daughter of Captain Irvine, Castlecliff, Wanganui, 'was drowned on Sunday night. "She had walked; along the breakwater alone, and /was not inissed till noxt morning, and then hor body' was found cn the beach, a mile away. There-wa9 a bad bruise oii the back of the' head and evidently she had slipped o£E the footway and fallen on the rocks.
