TEMUKA NOTES.
At the Court, "before Messrs A. iind A. Gibson, J.P's., a prolubitwm order was granted against a local resident, and before Mr G. \U*S. Gentlemiin J.P. Gastor Adoli Larson was ehavged with drunkenness. The accused was found lying on the road with a bottle of methylated spirits beside liim. The iSenc-h convicted and discarged the accused.
Tlic annual social gathering of the Tenmka Presbyterian. Church was largely attended and proved a complete success in every way. At the nubile meeting the chair was occupied by the Rev. C. Macdonald, supported by tlio Revs. Mr Wilson (Albury) and Maenulay Caldwell (TimaruV Musical items by Miss Gapper. Mrs Flood. Messrs Garvon. Tate. AY. Pearse. MeKemde. Henderson. Moves. Brunsdon. W. M. Coombs. Fishwick and Dr Curtis nindu lip a. most enjoyable programme. Special thanks are due to the Timaru visitors. The Wait-ohi Sunday School benfitod considerably by a. concert, given on Friday night. The Rev. A. H. Norris was in the chair and the attendance was excellent. Songs bv iMessrs "\V. Tears?. R. Pearse/ H. ' Bell. F. AY. Salmon. Dr Curtis and Mrs Flood, with recitations by Mr A. D. Aitkon constituted the programme. Mi?s I'earso and Mrs Rusliell supplying the ccompaninients.
