AMUSEMENTS.

SKATING. For two sessions the Olympia Rink will be open to-day, and despite several other attractions there are sure to be good attendances, for skaters are as enthusiastic as ever they were. The Black and White Clirnival on October 20th will include several events —gentlemen are to dress in black, and ladies in white.

PATHE PICTURES. At the Theatre Royal last cveuing the cinematographic entertainment, submitted by the Patlie company, was enjoyed by an audience, including the Boy Scouts, that lieai ly idled the building, its members being particularly demonstrative in their approbation of the New Zealand series. Among the best of tliis group is a comprehensive one depicting with gre:it clearness the decidedly interesting scenes of Uotorua, during a time when the presence of distinguished visitors caused all the varied wonders to be displayed in a most attractive manner. The Scciiis were so pleased with the inhibition, especially the S-outs section of that they expressed their satisfaction by giving their Maori war cry. To-night there will be a change in the second part, a budget tit* tine new films being substituted for the living New Zealand series.

ANNIVERSARY CONCERT. An anniversary concert <»f an enjoyable nature was hdu in the frimilive. Church last evening when there was a fairly attendance' of members of the congregation. The Rev. J.
