CLANDEBOYE.

RESULT OF THE BALLOT. The Land Board (Messrs Brodrick, Sealey, Stevenson, Gibson and McAulayi, with the officers of the .Department (Messrs Bendeley, Anderson, Oostelloe and Forester) sat. at the Temuka Courthouse yesterday to examine applicants, and ballot the sections in Ciandeboye No. 2 settlement. There were 01 applicants and the examination concluded at 2.30 p.m. There were about 80 present- at the ballot and Mr P. Hinds was appointed scrutineer. The results were as follows:- — Section 1, 66a 2r 34p (34 applicants) Albert James Davis. Teniuka. Section 2.69 a3r 12» (30 applicants) Alexander Read. Scacliff. Section 3. 60a (39 applicants)— John E. Watkins, Temuka. Section 4, 70 acres (37 applicants)— Timothy Sugrue, Belficld. Section o, 70a 2p (39 applicants) — Peter McG .Downey, Seacliff. Section G. 70a 13p (S3 applicants)— Joseph Checcucri. Timaru. KOFI IK A Xo. 2. To-day the Board sit- in Timaru to examine applicants and ballot for the four sections in Kohika No. 2 settlement. The Board will sit in the Foresters' Hall" at 11 a.m. and the ballot will follow the examination. There are 49 applicants; 32 of the papers were put in at Timaru and 17 at- Christchureh. Two of the three sections at Ruapuna that were not taken up at the ballot have been disposed of—No. 8. 408 acres to Mrs Lilian Sandrcy, of Ashburton; and No. 11, 331 acres, to John Duncan King; of Timaru. No. 5 300 acres is still open for application.
