A FRACTURED SKULL. _ DUXfiDIX, August 15. Stephen Nolan, employed by Mr F. Movnihaii, farmer of Middlemareb. was badly injured to-day. He was working a team of horses in a drill, and while he was in front of the drill the. horses bolted. The drill was pulled over him. and he sustained a fractured skull. He was unconscious at a late hour to-night.

FOUN DDEAD. An old ago pensioner named AVm. Hayes was on Sunday found dead in Champions road, off Timam road. The body was removed . to the Waimate morgue and an inquest will lie held hy the Coroner (Mr T. Hutchison) today.
