FEARFUL TRAIN COLLISION. SERIOUS LOSS OF LIFE. I'ri.ss As-wiciatiun-By Telegraph-Copyright Received U p.m.. August 15th. PARIS, August 15. A goods train from Royan over-ran the signals at Saujon, where tlie double line, becomes a, single line, and caught an excursion train which was passing the points. There was a collision, cannon-like, and terrible panic among the passengers upon the Saujon platform. The excursionists included many sportsman from Royan races. One carriage contained girls from the Bordeaux religious association, who were going to Royan to celebrate the feast of the Assumption. -Eight were killed and others terribly injured. Tn four carriages were school girls from Barsae; who had spent the day on the seashore: six of thorn were killed. Seven hours were occupied in removing thirty-seven dead, whose bodies were laid in rows.
