-Mr Walter Williams, a brewer and pioneer resident of Wesiport. who in the early days followed goldmining in Otago. tlied on Saturday. The deaths are renornd from London ol Earl .Spencer and Mr Justice Walton ol the King's Bench Division. Messrs J. Allen M.P.. for Bruce, G J. Anderson M.P.. for Mataura. 'and A. S. Malcolm M.P. for Balclutha. all went south by the first express on Saturday.
Mr and Mrs Win. Stewart are about to leave Clandeboye to settle near Waimate. Their neighbours and iriends intend to recognise the many services wliioh they have faithfullv devoted to the district for a "number of years by making them a presentation in Clandebove school on Friday nest.
