LAND BOARD ELECTION.

To the Editor of the "Timaru Herald." Sir, —In view of the great importance Oil' the election of a member lor the Canterbury Land Board I venture to write pointing out to Crown tenants that they should all vote, and that solidly, for the best man. I have not the pleasure of th© acquaintance of Mr I). Angland, of Albury, but from his published views, as appearing in the "Herald" I have come to the conclusion that he is the man for us. I am quite sure from what I have heard of him and read of iiis views, that Crown tenants would profit if he were oil the Board; or if they did not, it would not be his fault. From enquiries I have made, I find that Mr Angland has made a success of farming himself; that he is a man with a considerable stake in the country, and being also a Crown tenant he could not- do anything detrimental to our interests without injury to himself. I should say too-, from the tone of his letters that he would not he one to sit down mildly under injustice, even though the minority, failed to gain their point, and as a- real live member is what we want, I intend to give my vote in that direction. —I am. etc., CROWN TENANT.
