The steamer Whangape, bound to Newcastle to load coal, when off Broken Boy at 2 o'clock this morning, lost her propeller. She was in danger of being blown to sea, as a heavy westerly gale was blowing. Her signals of distress wore observed by the steamer Newcastle, which succeeded in getting n tow-line on board and towed the Whangape to Sydney.
