N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING

AN INTERESTING PROGRAMME.

The following is the programme for the New Zealand Championship Meeting, which takes place under ttie management of the Cliristchurch Golf Club on the. Shirley links from September oth to September 10th. Entries will be reeived through club secretaries, who must furnish each competitor's club handicap. Entries for all events must be made, and fes paid to the lion, secretary (Mr T. D. Condel'l, Box 437, Christchurch), on or before Tuesday, 30tli August. ' The following programme lias been arranged Amateur Championship of New Zealand.—Two qualifying rounds (stroke play), the thirty-two players returning the best scores to play off by match play over 18 holes, final over 36 holes. Winner aizil runner-up will' both receive trophic* in addition to the gold and silver med;ils presented by t'lie New Zealand Golf Council. Winner will also bo registered as the winner of the challenge cup. The cup will be lianded to the club of which the winner is a member, and will be held by that club until the next championship : meetine. Every competitor must he ' a member of a golf club on the register of the New Zealand Golf Council, and must have resided for three months in New Zealand either before or after having been elected as such [ member. .Entry 10s.
