POINT TO POINT STEEPLECHASES. she Point to Point Steeplechases, which are to take place next Thursday, will finish near Mr E. Kellarid's, Northdown homestead. The course is of a, hor.so .shoo shape, over four miles or gnod limiting country witli twenty-two iences. Hitherto the heavy weights and light weights have started together and finished together. This year the heavy weights will start hv themselves and the light weights by themves' thus making two separate races. The farmers' race of two and a half milos across country will start after the other two races. The selectors of the course have .specially considered the spectators. Practically the whole of the race can bo seen from the winning post, two fences only will be out of A leu • ,^ r Budd will have afternoon tea on the ground.
