The Seventh Baden Infantry at Mulhcim were so severely exercised on the drill ground that fifty men became exhausted. two died, aud eight had to by sent to the hospital. Th2 Belgian visit- has concluded. The Kaiser was unable to be present at the State banquet-, and other functions, and the Crown Prince was deputed to take his place. The latter was the recipient of an extraordinary popular demonstration in Berlin.
The Kaiser lias ordered volunteers serving for a. year at their own expense to forego the comforts of hotels and boarding-houses and live in barracks, the same as ordinary soldiers.
THE CIA r IL LIST. Received 10.15 p.m., June 3rd. BERLIN, June 3. The Prussian Government proposes to increase the Kaiser's Civil List of £785.965 by £200,000, owing to the cost of living involving higher salaries for the court officials, the upkeep of royal theatres, and the establishment of royal princes. The non-Socialist parties have assented to the proposal.
