I 'The individual in question John t Tuiiiicliitc, was summoned by tho who, ' Mary Eliza, wlm sought an order for alimony ,alleging her husband's desertion. Mr TurniclilFe denied deserting his wile and said he was only tuo anxious to return home to her, but she would . not let him. I Mr H indie (for defendant): Is she a Suffragist? Mr Ttirnielifi'c?: Yes, 1 believe she is one of the leaders. She commanded my daughter to pack my box for me to leave the house, and 1 was not even allowed io go to hod. Mr do Grey : What do you mean? Mr Turniiclifffc-: She wouldn't let me. Mr Hindlc: What is all the trouble about ? Mr Turnicliffc: She wanted to be mas-tor. He wcilt on to say that if he asked her where she had been to after staying out the whole evening, she told hi'n it had noth'ng t-> do with him. Mr TTanne: You did not raise any objection to vnpr w.io ordering vour bo- t/» bo nneked? Mr Turnieliffe : It was no use. Sh" is master. Mr T-T o : Surely you did n~t take it so focblv.
