NEXT AYEEKS EXHIBITION. At a well attended meeting of the committee of the Tuuaru Ai\s and Cratts exhibition good progress was made wall the nual arraugenioius. On Tuesday and yesterday, hu<_e consignments of pictures came to hand, iiont artists in Wellington, Cnrisfcehureh and Dunedin. tue Technical School rooms are a. busy scene just now, in the hands of an experienced packer and hanger. To-day a covered express will be sent round Tirnaru to collect loan pictures and curios that have been promised. Mc-nib.'i'sh.p tickets are being taken rapidly, so that the committee anticipate that- the rooms will be pretty well iilled on members' night. Mr- Ellis AYood, in charge of the musical entertainments, has submitted excellent programmes for the evenings which will not be otherwise occupied. The programmes include some "nationals'" —EnglLh, Scotch, Irish and New Zealand. Entries for the competitions are coming in well. Those for photography and singing already show good lists. All entries for competitions close on Monday next. The committee are considering the question of miming n sira'l tVilv journal in connection with the. exhibition. If the question is e'e'd-ed in the affirmative, the paper will he called "The Comet." The eommitt e look forward with every confidence to an oxeellent and successful exhibition.
