MAN ELECTROCUTED.
ON AN ELEC'TiTC WIRE. ANOTHER MAN INJURED. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 25. Shortly before 3 o'clock this afternoon, a horrible accident occurred to two linemen who were shiftng the low tension electric wire outside Messrs A. and T. Burt's foundry in Cumberland street.
Mr James Henderson got his band upon one of tho wires and was immediately electrocuted.
Mr Highley, foreman to Brinsley and Co., saw him hanging across tho wire and went up to his rescue, but finding all the wires alive he returned to the ground to get the power shut off.
Before tliis was done, Mr James Kinch, a companion of Henderson's, mounted the ladder and attempted to take him down from his position, but he himself was caught by one of the wires and received a terrible shock which left him helpless.
Mr Highley assisted to get Kinch down, and upon his removal to the hosnital he quickly recovered. Henderson was lowered to the ground with some difficulty, and it was then seen that his hands' were burned to the bone. He was taken to the hospital, but an examination showed that he was dead. Kinch is a married man, but Henderson was single.
