Mr Allan Woodman's Jog has had to bo amputated in consequence of liis accident when training for a, motor cycle race in the Isle of Man, and his condition is serious. VERY SERIOUS COLLISION. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, May 24. Henry Robinson, a young man employed on a mlk round, was admitted to the hospital this morning suffering from fractured ribs and injury to liis head. He was driving over a level crossing at Papamu when a goods train ran into the cart. The injuries are dangerous and he lias not yet regained full consciousness;. • STEEPLECHASER HURT. 'Wliile schooling at Ellerslie yesterj day morning the Great Northern ' Steeplechase candidate Leo failed to rise at a water jump and turned rijrht over. His rider, Phillips, escaped injury, but the horse was unable to rise and it was supposed his back was broken.
