Tho wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom amount to 3.490,000 quarters, and for the Continent to 1.920,000 quarters. The Atlantic shipments for the week total 122,000 quarters and the Pacific, 11,000 quarters. The total shipments to Europe for the week are 1,300,000 quarters, including 312,000 quarters from the Argentine and Uruguay. THE MEAT TRADE. SYDNEY, March 1. The report of the special Commissioner appointed to inquire into the meat export trade, after making a number of suggestions to improve the conditions says, that unless we can obtain siipervision of every operation, from slaughtering to the ship's hold, it would be preferable for the Commonwealth to refrain from exercising any supervision, and particularly to refrain from attaching a guarantee as to condition.
