Mr S. Mcßrido has returned from a holiday at Wauganui, and appears to be very much benefited in health by the change. He met several former Timaruvians at Wanganui, (or in Wellington on tbe way}, including Mr. John Hamilton, contractor, who had to do with tlie concrete, breakwater; Mr. U. Hibbard, junior, of the Longburn Freezing Works staff; and Mr. Green, formerly of Loder and . Green, butchers, in Timaru. A somewhat disquieting cabje message was received in Wellington from London on Wednesday regarding the health of the Hon. W. Hall-Jones, indicating that lie had experienced another heart attack. On Thursday, however, another cable message was received conveying better news and yesterday it was stated that ho was recovering. His many -friends in this district and in the Dominion will hope for liia speedy restoration to full health.
