MILITARY CARNIVAL.
OPEN TO-DAY. The Military Carnival attracted another large attendance at the Drill Hall last night; excellent business was done, and the special attractions in the form of brass and orchestral irusic, comic songs, physical drill (by the 'limaru City Rifles) and a comedy sketch, were all highly successful. There are still plenty of bargains left, and intending patrons of the fair this afternoon and to-night may count upon :i good time. The programme to be given at the Carnival to-night is as follows: —Selection, Garrison Band; Song, Mr 15. Budd, of the Pirates; Comic ..Song, Mr K. Carroll; Physical Drill, Timaru City Rifles; Sketch, "That Haunted Chamber," by Messrs W. Foster,'. E. Carroll and Locke Williams. The Carnival will be open again on Monday night, when all goods remaining unsold will bo disposed of at a great sacrifice.
