ADVANCE IN PUICES. INCREASED COST OF RATIONS. Fress Association-By Telegraph-Copyright NEW YORK, Oct. 21. General Michael Bryan, president of the American Packers' Association, states that the packers will be obliged to urge the United States Government to abolish the meat duties, unless the western cattle-raisers reduce their demands. Owing largely to tho prices of meat tho American Army Stores Department is asning for an appropriation of £250,000 to meet the increased cost of rations. Since the estimates were submitted prices have risen from lOd to Is per man per day.
