While Mr. Churchill was addressing a meeting of 3000 men at Dundee, despite the erection of elaborate barricades around the hall, suffragettes entered a neighbouring garret and broke a skylight, tho stone crashing into the hall. Five suffragettes were arrested, including one who hid in a chimney in an attempt to escape from the police. GOING TO EXTREMES. Received 9.15 p.m., Oct. 21st. LONDON, Oct. 20. The suffragists tried to destroy the telegraph wires, and thus prevent a report being sent of Mr Runciman's speech at Radeliffe. Several arrests were made.
