The Jlon.se of Lords lias completed the re|M>rt stage of the Irish Land Bill. The House of Commons agreed to the first sixteen clauses of the Budget. Several supporters of the Government woro disappointed with the. seventh clause, believing that all agricultural land should not 1m exempted from the increment tax. An amendment designed to prevent- agriculturists paying increment upon their own improvements wys rejected by 218 votes to 102 votes. Mr Lloyd George stated that no real hardship was involved.
