AMUSEMENTS.
SHERWOOD'S PICTURES. Owing to some unexplained cause the new programme of pictures that was to have been shown last night did not come to hand, and a stock series of films was shown to a fairly good audience. The new pictures will doubtless be here to-day, and will be shown ibis evening. They include a very fine lot of new cinematcgrams. all well worth seeing.
SKATING. The winter season is drawing in a close, but- the attendance of "rinkers shows no falling off. all sessions being well attended. The Kink will be open to-day as usual, and on Thursday evening next a game of hockey oil .skates between picked, teams will" be played. A far finer exposition of the game will be able tr> be given than was the ease on last carnival night, the whole of the., floor space being, able to he utilised for the occasion, and should produce a sight, well worth watching. both by spectators l.ikl skaters
