The Committee of the tclegriiph administrations i. -which is transmitting telegrams via Eastern and via Teheran between Britain, India, Australasia, and South Africa, unanimously resolved, provided tho British, Indian, and \Colohial Governments' are pre-, pared to take their rateable 'share, of the reduction of the pre.ss rate between Britain, India, Australasia, and South Africa, to reduce the rates to 9d per word from Ist August.
The "Times" says that there is ever.y- reason -to believe that the press telegrams to Australia both by the Pacific and Eastern Telegraph cables will be 9d at a'very early date.
