PERSONAL ITEMS.
Before separating yesterday the Board of Education' passed a resolution of sympathy with theiy chairman, Mr John Jackson, in his illness.
Sir Charles Lucas and Mr_ A. A. Pearson, representing the British Colonial Office, arrived in Christchurch from Wellington yesterday and will leave for Dunedin on Friday. Mr James Turtle of Albury expects to leave for the Old Country on the 18th inst. and will go Home via Australia and the Orient line. Mr Turtle has friends in Ireland ,and aftor visiting them, he will travel through Scotland and England. He will return to Timaru earlv in the new year.
