RAILWAY APPEAL CASES.
. MINISTERIAL DECISIONS. Per Press Association. "WELLINGTON, June 27. A .number of appeals by railvvaymen to the North Island Railway Appeal Board liave been dealt with by the Minister of Railways. Thomas Edward Hutchings, train examiner at "Woodville, and H. J. Seaton, train examiner at Cross Creek, appealed against their reduction from grade 1 to grade 2 in consequence of general revision of the classification list following the Act of 1907. These appeals though favourably reported on by the Board were disallowed bv the .Minister. James McGurk, engine-driver and J. A. Shelton, shunter, appealed against their dismissal owing to a collision between a. shunting engine and the mail train at Marton. These appeals were disallowed. The Board had a suggestion of reduction of penalty in Moduli's case. The appeal by H. J. Donovan, lioilermaker Wanganui, against the withholding of sixpence increment provided by the Classification Act was upheld.
