STATISTICAL RECORDS. At-the meeting of the Timaru Harbour Board yesterday, the secretary presented the following tables illustrative of the progress of the trade and' revenue of the port : »Goods shipped from Timaru during the''month of May, 1909:—General merchandise 205 tons, wool 1903 balps, skins 19 bales, hides ,190 bales, wheat, 76,923 sacks, oats 35,511 sacks, barley 110 sacks, flour 10,846 sacks, oatmeal 241 sacks, bran and sharps 8272 sacks, potatoes 2372 sacks, tallow 304 tons, preserved meat 120 cases, chaff 402 sacks, beans and peas. 299 sacks, frozen sheep 116,165 carcases, hay and i.traw 35 tons, fruit 1 case, poultry 13 cases. , ■ '.-■'■ Wharfage returns for Mav, in successive years :—1902—£852 5s Bd, 1903 —£1451 5s 3d, 1904—£1113 10s ' 4d, 1905—£1221 9s fid, 1906—£1430 13s 4d„ 1907—£1092 0s 4d, 1908—£1273, 1909—£1560,12s 9d.
