DEER STALKING.
CONFERENCE AT DUNEDTN. Per Press Association. DUNEDTN, June 2. A conference of deer-stalkers of the South Island was held this morning, when the chairman explained that the questions to be considered were the cutting up of deer districts into small areas sufficient say for two stalkers, and the method of culling herds. It was resolved that 'Hi be recommended to the Otago Acclimatisation Society that tenders be invited from competent men for the culling of red deer herds on the blocks decided on at the December conference, and that in the opinion of this conference it is desirable to define the boundaries in the various shooting blocks.
